Sept. 11-15 Name ______________________
This week in Kindergarten we are learning:
PE IS EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY. Be sure to send your child in tennis shoes (no boots, slip-ons, dress shoes). Apply sunscreen. Send sunscreen or put some on in the morning. Send water bottle too, every day. Please remember to wear your chapel shirts Wednesday & red shirts on Friday.
BOX TOPS: START COLLECTING THEM! Don’t know what they are? Go to boxtops4education.com for more information. Student who turns in at least 25 glued to a collection sheet will receive a prize from the treasure box!
Pizza can be purchased every Thursday for $2 a slice, cheese or pepperoni.
Star Student : Congratulations Lucy - Every student will be selected as the star student sometime this year. If you have not finished your All About Me posters please turn them in anytime.
**Picture Day is September 28. This is a free-dress day. Dress must comply with dress code (eg. no spaghetti straps).
September 29 Half day - school out at noon.
HOMEWORK:
Bible Verse: Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Sight words list attached (remember to mix up the order when practicing) Each child works at his/her own pace.
Monday: Say the Bible verse two times
-Say the sight words two times
-Have mom or dad read to you. Record on the September Reading log.
-Worksheet. Trace lines with pencil. Color the pictures (with crayons or colored pencils). Write name neatly, using appropriate letters – uppercase first letter, lower case the rest. Use scissors to cut pictures and paste.
Tuesday: Say the Bible verse two times
-Read sight words two times
-Have mom or dad read to you
-Play a game with mom or dad for at least 10 minutes
Wednesday: Say the Bible verse two times
-Have mom or dad read to you.
-Math review worksheet
Thursday: Study sight words for test
-Have mom or dad read to you. Put library book in backpack (if not already turned in).
-Find 3 things in your house that have the short “I” sound like an insect, fish, pig, or instrument.

- Math: Sorting, patterns, classifying
- Social Studies: Firefighters, fire safety (please have a fire drill at home if possible)
- Bible: Days 1-3 of Creation
